Itinerary
We will start the tour driving up to Mount Igeldo to contemplate its sweet and old fun park and the spectacular panoramic views of the city. At the foot of the mountain, we will visit The Comb of the Wind one of the city’s icon and one of its most special spots. The place is simply unique. Continuing with the tour we will stop at the Miramar Palace, the former summer residence of the Royal family of Spain, and visit the beautiful gardens facing La Concha Bay. From here we will cross the city reaching the eastern end of the city, Gros, an urban area popular with the young, alternative crowd. In summer, Zurriola Beach is a must, boasting, the most dynamic atmosphere in Donostia with outdoor terraces frequented by surfers.
We will continue the tour walking across Santa Catalina bridge, the oldest in town to reach the Victoria Eugenia Theatre and the Hotel Maria Cristina. From here we will pass the boulevard to visit la Bretxa market in the city’s historical old quarter. We will take a pleasant stroll through the Constitution square, Santa Maria church’s facade, Fermin Calbeton street, 31st of August street. Moving towards the port we will see the Royal Boat Club and the City Hall which was designed as a casino. From here we will admire La Concha beach one of the most beautiful urban beaches in the world. To finish our tour we will take a stroll through the Romantic District featuring sophisticated stores, small bookshops and pintxo bars as well as beautiful squares and monuments like Plaza de Gipuzkoa, Plaza Bilbao, and the Good Sheperd Cathedral. This tour could be followed by a fantastic Pintxo Hopping tour, giving you the chance to taste the famous miniature cuisine of the city
